Are you in network with health insurance?

No. Compassion Starts Within, LLC is currently out-of network with insurance and self-pay only. The clinician can provide superbill statements for clients to submit to their insurance companies to request reimbursement. It is the client’s responsibility to communicate with their insurance to verify out-of-network benefits and reimbursement process. 

What form of payment is accepted for services?

Compassion Starts Within, LLC accepts electronic payments through the client/patient portal.
The following methods of payment are accepted:

Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover
FSA and HSA cards
Link by Stripe can be used for any clients that have signed up to use Link

Do you work with couples, families, or children?

No. Compassion Starts Within, LLC currently provides services to individulas 18 years and older. The clinician will however allow joint sessions with a partner, family member, or another supportive individual if it is deemed clinically necessary and appropriate for the client’s healing and would be discussed and prepared for ahead of time. The clinician is not currently accepting minors, couples or families. 

Do you offer sliding scale?

Yes. During the initial phone consultation, the clinician will discuss cost of services. If the client is unable to pay full cost, they can request sliding scale. At that point, the clinician will gather additional information to ascertain eligibility for sliding scale and offer an alternate rate per session. 

Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions?

Compassion Starts Within, LLC offers in person and virtual appointments. The client has the option to engage in either, however the clinician may require in person sessions for individuals who may not be appropriate for virtual appointments, and the justification would be explained to the client at that time.  

Can you fill out disability paperwork?

No. The clinician is unable to complete disability forms. Most of those documents require the signature of a physician or medication prescriber. The clinician may be able to coordinate with the client’s physicians and offer a treatment summary upon request and at the discretion of the clinician. 

Do you offer medication management?

No. Compassion Starts Within does not have any prescribers on staff. The clinician may be able to assist through referrals or help find providers upon request, as well as coordinate care with established physicians as needed.
